The Master of Music Studies has the option of a number of streams – Composition, Performance, Pedagogy (Instrumental/Vocal), or Orchestral Studies. The stream of Orchestral Studies has strong links with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO).
The program aims to provide students with high level skills in their area of specialisation, with advanced skills as performers or composers and a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of repertoire and musical concepts.
The Conservatorium of Music offers students an integrated music education based on best international contemporary arts practice. Live music making is at the core of the Conservatorium's activities.
To qualify for admission applicants will need a relevant undergraduate degree, music qualifications, interview and audition.
