Graduate Certificate - Master |
Foresters are in strong demand both nationally and globally. Due to a skills shortage in this field, a federally funded National Forestry Masters Program has been established. The program links professional Masters degree programs at five institutions, offering access to the best teaching in forestry in Australia and internationally, plus opportunities for internships, research projects and extensive fieldwork. The University of Tasmania is part of the consortium because it has been the headquarters of the National Cooperative Research Centre for Forestry since 1991 and is able to contribute specialist courses in areas such as genetics and stand management.
A Graduate Certificate is also available which will be of interest to anyone working in the forestry industry seeking professional development. The Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Forestry articulates to the Master of Forestry
